As we wrap up our summer and head into fall, I can't believe all that we crammed into that seasonal transition! We just said A Bientot to Eric's parents who were here for two weeks after driving in from Michigan with their pooch Wally as first mate. We had some fun adventures including a road trip to Leavenworth, running around at the winery, some birthday fun for Judy including a super swanky evening at Daniel's, and some good old fashioned down time. Eric enjoyed some one-on-one time with them as I headed out on my first solo girl weekend to Denver to visit an old college-Chicago friend about to walk down the isle. I enjoyed the opportunity, the relaxation, and the girl time. Jake finally started preschool and just LOVES it!!! The first two weeks he couldn't fall asleep and kept waking up all night in anticipation and excitement for school! He loves his teachers and his new friends even though he can't remember any of there names. But, he always remembers the snack!!! My boy!!! My heart melted the day he brought home an art project that had said "God made me special from my hands to my feet." with hand and foot prints. Ooooohhhh!!!! I forgot how much I loved school art projects!!! Kai is almost the size of Jake and speaking like a champ. He has definitely stepped into his terrible two's, with his instigation's, "No's", and nonstop energy which usually leads to him getting into a lot of stuff he's not supposed to or is supposed to because it's his age or what not. But, with all this growth, Momma is exhausted!!! Overnight these two have turned into a 25 hour a day job!!! I don't even know how I am writing this now! Eric is doing well! I am so proud of him! He just landed a huge gig for his co with a very large company, of which he helped lead the ship with back to back traveling, all nighters, and daily at home vacation working. It paid off and I applaud his efforts and skills!!! I am trying to keep up on my wholemomma blog, it's my therapy and lately I have been getting calls letting me know people actually reading it and would like me to keep going (and no it hasn't gone to my head). It makes me feel happy that it can bring a smile or a thought to at a least one person a day!! So thanks for the pats on the back!!! Other than that, we are just hunkering into boring, normalcy, and excited to embrace the new season ahead. We wish all of you a wonderful Fall as well and hope you enjoy our latest pics!!!
