Christmas Photos & Videos

Ah, its that time of year when we get to take off work and enjoy our families and friends. This year was no exception at the Wigwam. We had a great Christmas Holiday week. I finally uploaded all the photos and videos of the family from the week of Christmas. I do apologize for not getting this out sooner on Christmas Day. This year, we had a really wonderful and very white Christmas with record snowfalls. We must have ended with at least 16 inches of the white stuff (you can see how much in the videos and photos at the bottom). We did keep toasty with lots of roaring fires just about every day/night. It's not Christmas without snow and fires! We managed to keep our tradition with a yummy surf and turf Christmas Eve dinner. After dinner, we hung out in the main living area of the Wigwam and had a fantastic evening with great conversation and family fun. We opened up presents with the Petersen siblings and parents and prepared the boys with their Christmas PJ's getting them ready for their long winter's nap. Not sure if they got the concept of Santa coming or not, but next year may be the year it starts to click for Jake. Christmas Day morning, the boys woke up and to their surprise (really Jake's surprise), there were a ton of presents under the Christmas Tree that weren't there the night before. Santa must have come and he left them with lots of gifts; obviously they must have been good little boys this year. The boys had a great time opening the gifts and playing. Kai loved playing with the wrapping paper and with Jake's toys. He absolutely adores his big brother! Big hits this year included: Thomas the Train wooden train set, clothes, activity cube for Kai, a rocket with sound affects, puzzles, and yes the remote control helicopter for "Jake and Kai" but really for Eric to play with. We were accompanied by Eric's cousins Scott and Kelly as they missed their honeymoon flight to Maui. They were upset, but at least they got to spend Christmas with the Bellers and Petersens. They did manage to make it the next day after Eric drove them to the airport at 5:15 AM only for them to have a 2:45PM flight out - at least they are there enjoying some sun and fun as I write this. There was definitely no short of fun and drama this year at the Wigwam.

In attendance this year: Maria, Eric, Jake, Kai (Beller), Rick, Marguerite, Katie, Kenrick, Emma (Petersen), and Scott and Kelly (Goddard)

2008 Wigwam Christmas factoids: This year was Kai's first Christmas, Jake's third, and our (Beller and Petersen clan) second at the Wigwam.

Tomorrow is Eric's birthday. (December 29, 1973) Eric turns 35 - of which is the half way point between his father Ron (who turns 70 this year even though he acts like 50).

We hope you enjoy the photos and videos and have a very safe and Happy New Year!
